Event: Star Wars Ultimate Fan Weekend, Sydney

Star Wars fans shouldn’t miss out this May the 4th special event.

To celebrate the official annual Star Wars fan day, Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum is creating Star Wars Ultimate Fan Weekend.

Held over the first weekend of May, the museum promises to bring Star Wars universe alive with a 1:1 scale X-Wing Resistance fighter, Jedi Training, character appearances, costume competitions, augmented reality experiences, coding workshops, games and more.

Some of the things you can do at the event include:

  • Have an augmented reality-supported lightsaber duel with Lenovo’s Star Wars: Jedi
  • ChallengesRepair BB-8 and friends in the virtual reality story, Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay
  • Train with lightsabers and robes with the Jedi Experience
  • Bring BB-8, BB-9E and R2-D2 to life with hands-on Sphero coding classes
  • See Star Wars collector’s items from the MAAS collection
  • Join talks and panels with Star Wars fans and commentators
