Nintendo boosts Switch production in anticipation of holiday demands

Nintendo is boosting the production of its Switch consoles in anticipation of increased demand for the 2017 holiday shopping season, according to the Financial Times.

The production hike, expected to meet the steeping demand for Thanksgiving and Christmas sales, came just weeks after Nintendo declared Switch to be its fastest-selling gaming device.

Nintendo stays with its shipment target of 10 million units, although analysts believe the company will produce at least twice that number.

Sold at $300, Switch has become one of Nintendo’s best-performing product, selling out within hours of arriving at retail stores.
